Lou Douros, Freepath Software

Overwhelming! Fantastic possibilities. One that really stood out- mainly because of ease of use- was Mebeam.com, a great tool for quickly connecting multiple video conferencers (new word). While this is of no interest to anyone- not even me- I must say that the wealth of resources is tremendous. I had no idea just how much was out there! I will cut this short in order to explore.

  2. Hey Thanks for the write-up Roddy! What does it take to move beyond "Rookie" in your blog?

One thing that I failed to mention about mebeam is to be careful when you hit the "random room" thing. Remember it is a free tool, so they don't tailor the thing for any one market. I've hit that random thing and seen ... let's just say ... people ... ummmm doing "internet things"...

I would only use it as a sort of last resort. There are other similar tools, such as justin.tv, ustream.tv, of course Skype.com, Yahoo.com, msn.com, that feature free face to face video conferencing too.

Stay tuned into Freepath, you'll see us approaching all of those channels as a gateway to move content along their existing platforms, rather than competing with them. Fun stuff.

I mentioned this over at Kaycie's blog too, contact me (you or your readers) when the time comes for you to pick up your Freepath licenses. We're going to be offering it as a discounted intro price, I can do it for a fraction of that. (Seriously!)

I'll get the tools links over to Todd for all the free stuff we talked about in the class.

    All the best,

    Lou
